• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Swaping engine and trans from top ( first timer)

Iif thats the rear side of the starter that connects to the trans then i got it right. Hopefully when i connect the battery positive to the starter tmrw everything works out ill also make sure i have the fuel lines connected before i try. Just to verify though the starter diagram from earlier doesnt show the pos battery cable connecting to it right?

your not looking at it right, all the cables and wires are lined up to the stud in the diagram, the pics i posted show the wires bolted on, this is pretty simple stuff.

I get that. My confusion is where the positive cable coming from the battery goes there are two potential places on the starter(i dont want to mix this up and fry it). The diagram doesnt show any cable coming from the left side where the battery would be. it only hows the cables that come out of the wiring harness.

you only took one nut off, so thats where all the fat eyelets go. little purple wire to the little stud.
Now this is where knowing your sh*t comes into play. You automatically were able to deduce there is only one place everything could possibly go because you only have to remove one nut when disconnecting wires etc.

I completely forgot about this til seeing what you wrote there. i guess that lower terminal threw me off and made me think something went there, forgot they were all cramed on one terminal thanks for your patience Scotty.

I only have a butane torch, can it be done with this. Also the pos battery cable splits into two one goes down to starter and the other connects to..?

I got everything down with the starter connection and ground, I hope, here's still an extra positive the other one goes down and connects to starter

By the way I know this is extremely remedial stuff and it's my fault for not taking pics before I just don't want to mess up anything electrical.
