Subway's GT: Time to close my legs, it smells everywhere

I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

A topswap runs about $400-800 if that..even cheaper if you can find everything nearby in the JY etc. Your not turbo'ing **** for that price unless you happen to have a lot of things needed laying around. Obviously turbo going to make more power then a topswap. Sometimes good enough is good enough.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

You wont need a beefy trans to handle a topswap mild build. 90% of people that have trans issues have issues because they drive like retards... the other 10% actually made more power than their trans could handle. Top Swaps can be done for a few hundred bucks. The gain is well worth the cost and work.

This

The driver kills the tranny most of the time. Don't drive like a asshole that's trying to break **** and 9/10 your tranny will be alright.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

I'd sell ya a SC, LIM, TB, and heads fer $200, throw in an HD trans for $80ish. :p

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

I'd still have to spend $2000+ on a tranny rebuild. There goes modding money.

im on a stock 150,000 mile old tranny with just a shift kit.

like stated, tep sells one for 1600. the back to basics one.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

throw in the injectors and everything else and thats a legit deal.
I might even have a set of stock L67 ones laying around somewhere... lol Local JY charges $10 per injector. I got a fuel rail too... $35.

you'd crap if i told ya what i got my heads lim rail extra coil bracket with icm and coils, flex plate, vc's, oil filter housing too.

then theres was the free n/a engine i got as interest for a loan really.

i had 400 into my top swap just in all new gaskets fluids head bolts porting tools and paint. 300 if you dont buy porting tools.

you dont need to pull the engine, but you may as well cause you leak oil. change every last gasket on it, and drop it back in. its also much easier to work on a engine on a stand.

i had a whole new engine and all the parts to work on, so only down time was the engine swap for me. out with the old, in with the new.

My trans was bad when I bought it. I don't really pound on my car anyway.

Lucky, lol.

Agreed on the leaking and pulling the engine. I've only ever pulled one car engine, but I've worked on and split many a tractor engine - replacing every last seal and preventing any oil leakage is a really great idea, and the less obstructions for working on anything is always better.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

I will be top swapping. Funny to think that yesterday I had no intentions, but now I'm already making arrangements on buying stuff :th_laugh-lol3:.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

I'd like to have the parts first. That way I know I will be going through with it. Once I get the main stuff (heads, S/C, LIM, etc.), then I'll buy gaskets. And yes, I'll be buying the Magnum LIM gasket set ;).

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

Just keep it stock looking, spend all your $$ on engine mods, and maybe some 7th gen seats. :P

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

Our JY had 2/3 sets, idiots let them get all wet and in the elements with windows/doors gone. Should have bought a set when the car first got there, lol, but that was before I got my GP.

Re: I dip my balls in Jared Fogle's personal marinara sauce

I might be able to donate something for this

Basically all I'm needing at this point is a pulley stand for the S/C. Otherwise, I have all the other stuff covered. But I can let you know if I could use your help :).

My JY is the same way with people leaving the doors open and stuff. It's annoying for sure.
