strut mounts HELP!!!!

How do i tighten my sturt mounts. I put new front struts on my grand prix 2 door gt got them from prime choice on ebay. They were put in a month ago and saw that the bolts were lose so i hit them with an impact. so i dont think they are tight enough because my car sits way high in front thought it was because of new springs but it still raddles and sounds like crap. I going to being doing it tomorrow and need all the help i can get. I dont know how tight they should be and is the washer supose to squeeze the rubber part? PLEASE HELP!!!!
 


the center bolt will always spin, if they were installed as a whole new strut with spring and mount, its as tight as it should be.

chances are your lower control arms are shot to hell and clunking, or a broken sway bar end link or bar, or the sway bar bushings.
 
i think my lca is shot but i know they arent tight enough there is a space between the washer and the rubber mount
 
yep new from strutTEK got them from prime choice and i can do pics later but i wanna say it has an 1/8 inch gap shouldnt it be squeezing the rubber
 


no the rubber should be there but not smashed up. it will spin as the nut is on the shaft the strut rides on.

should look like this installed.

im not sure how the shop makes them bolts tight, as i dropped mine off to had the mounts changed. but i have heard of people using a vice grip on part of the shaft that wont be going into the strut, then tighten the bolt, or some have a hex in the shaft, and you use a o2 sensor socket and turn the hex. these are just things ive read here.

could DONK it...but yeah I would say the problem is ebay strut....if it does that when its a complete assembly somethings wrong....once the strut knuckles bolts are in and the car is lowered on the ground everything should sit the way its supposed to whether the top 3 mount nuts are tight or not
 
yeah i guess i'm going to just take them out and see whats going on I'll more then likely just use them tell i get some new ones cause I dont think i can send them back after 30 days
