• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Straight up trade

but the 4.6 in this one is a sohc? I just feel i'm limited with the mustang, where with the GTP i can get low 13's maybe even 12's with bolt ons, a cam, and and. And that's no head work.

Ya but idk much about these cars and their bolt ons. Such as exhaust adds 10-15 hp and air intakes ect ad 5-10 hp n such. I mean, bolt ons on our cars are pretty noticeable and give good gains. Idk about slowly building a mustang

Slowpoke would probably know a lot of helpfull info for you. Or just go on some mustang forums and read around about modding them.
If someone offered to trade me a new edge v8 Mustang for my GTP I would not hesitate on that deal at all.

I have been. I've seen the whole bolt on mods changing gears and all that such. I just don't know what I'd be getting into opposed to he 3800 where I have more of an idea on the direction of these engines and stuff.

dude.
i met someone today actually with a 4.6.
he has all the bolt ons and hes dead even with a 6.1 charger srt 8 with some mods.
probably faster than all the s/c grand prixs on here, lol.

You can find a Grand Prix for $2k or less any day of the week. There's not many opportunity a that someone is willing to trade a mustang w/ similar miles straight up for a Grand Prix. Plus you'll be able to get more for the mustang then you ever will with the Grand Prix if you decided to sell.

Edit: to add to the debate..the aftermarket for the Mustang is huge unlike our market so parts are easily available.

I've seen a video of full bolt on mustang vs a Nic cammed IC 2.8 GTP and the mustang pulled and kept pulling

But I don't know what full bolt ons are. And the price of getting those, and where it'll net me in power. And how expensive it is to install a new final gear ratio of 4.10

Everyone on here rags on Mustangs all the time, but from what I understand they are not very hard to get power out of. The modular engine is a good platform.

I would guess throttle body, intake plenum, headers, catback, tune and maybe a few other items.

Mods from original owner. Besides for new tune up and a stage 2 clutch from this guy

Make a pro and con list, then test drive. Look it over real good. Just from the mod list and looks, I would be 80% sold til I test drove it.

I'm clueless when it comes to manual trans and mods on theses. Plus I only moved a couple of manual cars around my lot before and would hate to test drive or "practice" on his lol.
