stock rims different tire size?

Ive read some things of people putting different tires on the stock 225/60/r16 setups like 245/50/r16 and others. Im looking to fill some wheel gap if possible but mainly i want a lower profile street look. Maybe some spacers.. What are my options?? Thanks guys

Fill in wheel gap by lowering the car not changing tire sizes and for the lower profile tire thats your choice but it will mess up your speedo plus will cost more and look funny. I would look at wheels with a bigger diameter like 18s and more aggressive offset to get the lower profile tire and stance you would get with spacers. And I wouldn't run 245/55 or 50 on stock rims. Imo it looks goofy with all the sidewall.

245/50/16 is shorter than stock by an inch.

As Russo said, you fill wheel gap by lowering, not going with a different size tire.

Also, low profile is an overused term. You get "lower profiles" as you increase the rim size. 245/50/16 is 25.7", 245/45/17 is also 25.7" but is a lower profile because the rim is bigger. 245/40/18 is again 25.7" and is yet "lower profile."
