• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Speed daddy headers installed.

I need to get some pics up of my SpeedDaddy headers install....

I did mine with the engine out *had to swap flexplates* and I managed to squeeze mine in with them on the motor XD.

And as for the u-bend section, I hit my first speedbump, and haven't scraped since, then again that speed bump did kinda flatten mine out some.

After some RTV, and a little elbow-grease, they sealed up fine, the V-band didnt want to seal at first, but I got it to.

If it was just the rear header with no downpipe I MIGHT see it...but still that is pretty damn difficult

I have a few pics with the headers on the engine, while it's going in, I'll upload them.

And I managed through sheer willpower, because it was like 11pm, and about 40degrees..

I ended up having to pull off 1 idler pulley and the battery tray. but it squeezed in there!

I just finished installing these this morning...I blame my still rookie experience with my car and the fact that the DP to Cat-Back bolts were a complete rusted mess (required dremel cutting wheel and cobalt drill bit to clear that up) for the amount of time it took me to install these. Few leaks (as suspected) but will take care of those.

how in the crap did you put the motor back in with the headers on...?

very simple... thats how i did mine...had to take fans out and oil filter adapter housing... took 3 ppl to hold it in the position it needed to be in to slide it in... also with hood off.

depends though... i did mine on a motor swap... took 20 minutes to snatch old manis off and throw headers on whereas to 3-4 hours with motor in car... i wouldnt recommend at all taking motor out just to do headers..lol. should have been more specific in my post.

Eric (or anyone else with these headers) how is your seal on your EGR?? I tightened everything up and I'm still getting a some-what bad leak from there.
Thanks

mine has a small leak that has developed in the past few weeks.. pretty sure its coming from egr... one day when im not lazy im gonna do egr delete and fix that prob.

Is there anything I can put around the rim of it to seal it up?? Like I have extra Copper RTV but would that even work?? Or is there another sealant out there??

Is that DP Ubent a issue with any headers out in the market or just Speed daddys? Since Im going to be lowering my car a inch or so... don't wanna make the wrong move.
