so ive decided since im a college student im gonna opt out of buying a gtp and just go with an 04 gt like my fiance has. i found one for 5500 OBO with 113800 miles and chrome rims with the basics. so what do you guys think? good deal or should i ask less?
We can't possibly render an opinion without pics of your girl and her car, and pics of the new car. Mileage means very little if the body is beat, the interior is shot and nothing has been maintained.
Start with pics of your girl ......and her car please.
ill post pics of my girl just for you guys lol. the car pics might have to wait till later for her car. hers is gray chrome rims one 1/8" crack on the top of rear bumper one pea size paint chip on hood. other than that the body on her car(and on her) is flawless. her interior is as clean as it gets. one salt grain size piece of foam missing in steering wheel. everything is in great shape runs great new tires new brakes and only 105,015 miles on it. here is the link for the car 04 gt im looking at. 2004 grand prix
ya if u get the chance of getting a gtp by all means go for it besides just think of all the racing u and your girl would do and u beating her all the time could prove to be great in the long run lol but the silver u posted pics of thats about as basic as a gp would come i wouldnt get it id go for the gtp instead
As the others said you'll probably want a GTP later and have to sell it. I bet you could find an 02-03 with 100K or so on it for about the price of the one you posted.
Well I already beat her now because I drive an 02 300m which is funny because she hates losing. I want a grand prix for several reasons. I am a gm fan, love the 3800, it is really easy to work on, parts for it are cheaper, I love the low end torque, there are ton of aftermarket parts for it, gets better gas mileage than my car, and I love the body lines of an 04 and newer gp. The reason I've decided to opt out of a gtp is simply due to insurance reasons. I'm a college student going to UNOH and I'm looking for a good grand prix that I can get a loan on for about $130 a month. Gtp's are nice don't get me wrong. Me and her drove a comp g the other day. I liked it but am not willing to fork out anymore money for insurance than I already do.
im with progressive they offered me the lowest rates. right now my insurance is $627 every six months for my 300m. if i got an 04 gt like my fiance's my rate will drop $150 dollars versus with my 300m
Not factory wheels ^^ 04's didn't come with Torque Stars
All in all, not a bad looking car, and I AM partial to silver, but base model, 100k+ miles, wrong wheels, I would look for something better to spend 5+ grand on... but that's me.
