So I got a GTP today and I have a few questions

Got Pile of crap GTP for 600 bucks. Anyways the powers steering is out of it. The fluid is full and it has no power steering at all so how do I test if it is the Pump or the rack that needs to be replaced. I hate to throw parts at it.

Other question. The seller told me the pulley was smaller so I measured it and it appears to have a diameter of 3.8" From what I have read a factory pulley would be 4.0" Since the car has no other mods except for a Cold Air intake (Which apparently adds a lot of horsepower according to the seller LMAO) Anyways since there are no other mods to support a smaller I figured that the car should be kept out of boost until I at least put headers on the car or go back to a stock pulley. So anyways what is the stock pulley size. Thanks

Stock pulley is the same size as the motor. So 3.8.

Yep stock is 3.8 I have a 1 great old rack here at home I'd let go fairly cheap

the no power steering is either the pump or the rack, pump is the cheap part to change first, then if it still dont work, the rack is bad.

being you picked it up this way, you dont know how it died. so tossing parts at it is gonna happen. good news is, the pump is cheap really.
