so i found this hood in the junkyard

DaytonaGTP

Its not that small is it?
its a hood from a 2005 impreza sti. it was all jacked up but the scoop was still perfect. got it for 20 bucks. i also happen to have a spare smooth hood for my car in the garage... and bein that i have friends in the body shop biz i think a custom hood is in the works. anyone think this will look good on a prix? btw the scoop will be functional.

Why wouldn't it be functional?

I think it would look silly tbh.

mainly because unlike the STi, there is no intercooler core sitting in that location on our cars, and to make it tie into the throttle bottom you would have to mold the scoop in on the front driver's side of the hood. which would look incredibly stupid, and still not be all that functional for anything more than a CAI.

Yeah, it won't be functional. And I don't think it will look that good. Everyone will know it is a subaru scoop on a pontiac.

oh well screw it ill just sell the scoop to some ricer then...lol. id just rather not spend 500 bucks on a new hood ya know?

Yeah it may not be the most attractive hood on that car, but as far as function it would probably keep heat sink and engine temps down even though the car is not tmic, That's crazy you found an sti at the junkyard. I would have robbed the sh!t out of that thing haha.

those sell for a good amount on ebay if its the true 4" sti scoop. only thing itll help is temp on your engine, the fresh air goin in2 it will keep the engine cooler, but....... it wont look good at all.

i agree it just would look out of place dosent match the lines of the car....but getting more fresh air into the engine bay is almost never a bad thing
