Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

so i made my own CAI today i want off of the one suggestion for the fenderwell intake but didnt have time to take off bubmber and grind down support. so i removed that lil plastic flange there and just stuck the front end inside of it. it works well looks nice, ill get some pics up for you guys to judge my work soon, but im haveing an issue with the motor at WOT in high RPMs. i haven't had the u-bend deleted so im thinking this is going to be the issue. went to a shop here and im outside an army base so everything is a lil more expensive but for 50 buck the guy can knock it out for me.

the u-bend wont cause any issues at WOT. if its bogging and feeling a loss for power look at the cat first.

also, youre wasting your time with an FWI. a short ram is more than enough and probably performs better than an FWI with a bunch of bends in it.

It's not really a fenderwell intake it has one bend and goes to the same fender well on the driver side that it would of I just couldn't find a way to use the 4 in pipe he said to use so I went with three in.

It just seems like the motor bogs down I thought maybe releasing back pressure in the exaust will help or u think that the chip just doesn't know what to do with the extra air coming in

When I step on the pedal it just seems like the motor stall but the Rome keep tring to build and around 95mph it has issues with the motor

three inch is to small IMO, and sticking the filter into the fender is a waste. I ran a 3 inch when I first slapped my blower on and then went to a 4 inch. Car felt like it could finally breath

Get a can of CRC Mass Airflow Sensor cleaner and spray the **** out of the little wires in your MAF. It's old enough to be plenty dirty. If you put an oil-soaked filter on it, some of the oil will get sucked in and coat your sensor. Also, while you're in there, see if the throttle body is all gummed up.

Other things:
Fresh fuel filter
Fresh stock heat range spark plugs
Fresh spark plug wires

OK so i need to work to get the pics of it on here they are to big ill try changeing it around and see if it helps any and also check the TB for gunk ill let you guys know im still going to go ahead and have the u bend deleted so its done and over with

three inch is to small IMO,

couldnt agree more.... why would you make an intake with piping SMALLER then stock?? (the throttle body opening is 3.75 inches). Its like you took a step backwards

with that in mind, i gotta ask; did you have this "bogging down" issue before you installed your new intake?

did you take out the TB screen because i had this issue when I did my cai and once i put the screen back on the car did not bog.

whats a good program to use to get my pics sized right off my iphone to fit on this page

no i didnt have the problem before before i did the cai and the throttle body screen is still in and the MAF sensor was all cleaned out. im going to take it somewhere and have some one read the stuff off the computer is not triping any codes but for that mater it hasnt in a while maybe the light dosent work anymore.

if u messed with the intake and immediatly after got problems why the hell did u immediatly start assuming the u bend or car? start by finding out what u screwed up and leave the exhaust alone...for now

my thoughts EXACTLY. if you did indeed start having this problem right after you put on your intake, it is most likely that restrictive ass 3 inch piping your using.

why in the world would you make an intake with piping smaller then stock??

IMO your problem was probably there before the CAI, or you messed something up. An open cone 3 inch would probably flow as well as stock. When I put a 4 inch CAI on my car, there was an immediate improvement according to the butt-dyno, front wheels spinning easily....and all the way to redline. It made a huge difference with the stock exhaust in place, u-bend included.

i agree...he either didnt connect something right, forgot to plug a sensor back in...caused a vac leak or bumped something and broke stuff...whenever u are moding and immediatly have a problem there after then u should always assume the last think u touched before running around like a chicken with its head cut off
