Simple Modding for '97 GTP

yes i have read the sticky many times but i would like to narrow it down to cheap mods. Im thinking, Cold Air Intake (make my own), Speed Daddy headers from eBay since they are cheap, and should i just go with ubend delete and new mufflers (magnaflow 44 series or 40 series) and glasspack or should go with Cat-Back exhaust?

Or just get my resonators deleted in general cause i do want my car to sound pretty mean with the least money. i dont have the money for a cam at the moment.

If you don't have money, don't mod.

As far as what you're thinking of, do the intake. Headers will give you more power over a catback, so start there, unless you just want to hear the "sweet sounds" of a GM V6.

and i do have some money but not alot since im a senior in highschool, just trying to gain as much knowledge as i can before i get a full time job soon

The 3"downpipe with cat will run ya around $200. The dp by itself will be about $90 plus shipping. Or you can prolly find one cheaper in the "for sale" section of this forum. Headers are the better route these days cuz they're only $200 shipped.

sd have a dp with them. You don't need to buy a dp separate.
↑↑↑ This. Headers come with the downpipe. Thats why I was saying its a better route these days. $200 for a down pipe w/ cat, or $200 for headers. You'll get much better flow out of the headers.

I'd do the headers and just slap a spectre filter from autozone on where your stock air box is now.

I have a drop in K&N Air filter in the box already. So it goes Headers, Downpipe with Cat in it, then resonators, then mufflers, then just the tips? Cause i want my resonators deleted for more sound, so will that get deleted with the Header installed or is that seperate? i know the UBend will get deleted.

The cat will get deleted with the header install unless you put one in. You can put a straight pipe in place of the res if you want and it'll be louder but perhaps not the kind of loud your looking for. I have sd's with no cat and the res is deleted and i have some kind performance mufflers (I can't remember what kind) and it sounds ok at low rpm but when i get on it i don't think it sounds to great.
