Needs A Turbo
ok guys i did a WOT 30 roll today and i felt the downshift and it started to pull then almost instantly it started bogging down and studdering and my KR shot up to 4.1 which its usually 0.0 til about 85 then i see a couple degrees but it felt like i was misfiring but i threw no codes and the aero picked up no misfires....my plug wires are pretty old but i have new plugs....would old wires cause this bad of a symptom or should i be looking at the coils/ign module?
 


checked the front bank of cylinders plugs tonight and cylinder 5's plug has some microsopic cracks in it...gonna slap a new one in there tomm see if that cures it up...
 
just put in new plugs misfire gone...went with 605's instead of 104s and it runs better weird....less knock with hotter plugs...weird???? :)
 
it def idles nicer and my MPG went up with the 605's :)....why do i crack cylinder 5 plug everytime whats that a sign of?
 


haha no its just always that plug that i remove when i have a misfire because i think its cracked and it is every time!
 
Replace the wires as well. Old wires aren't helping the ignition system to run any cooler/better.

No idea on the cracking..how many times is this?
 
3rd time haha....maybe that wire is really bad i know they are old they are the ones that were on the car when bought it with 80k on it and it has 101 k now...
 
replace the wires..I didnt know that bad wires could cause the spark plug to crack? Learned something today...
