didnt really mean full rebuild, mainly gaskets, rockers, cam headers, i just aquired a 2005 n/a s3 grand prix, and meh mileage isnt really a factor if ther person had regular maintenance, but we all know how rare that is, i can get a s2 s/c at a jy for $800 from a 2001 gtp, then id just do gaskets and bolt ons and a smaller pulley, now that being said, s2 with gen v blower or s3?

what do you guys suggest, and matt you should know that finding a car with 160,xxx km is hard if youre in ontarion, any other province is good because nobody else uses salt on the roads
LIM gaskets, rocker gaskets and coolant elbows should all be new if you're putting another engine in. No point in screwing around with those.
Pop the oil filler cap, if it's clean, it's likely good to go.
Gen V blower is something you might as well get over with now. The gen III rotor coatings suck.
I don't know what you're talking about with mileage. My buddy's car from 1985 is likely cleaner than most of the stuff here on GPF. It has 260 000 KM on it.
Mine has 140K and has no rust whatsoever. 2001. But I'm sure you can find many pickups from 2005-2010 that need brake lines, bumpers and fenders rotting off etc at similar mileage. I know I've seen a few in the shop in that exact condition. Half the battle is what quality materials the vehicle was put together with. The other half is maintenance.
If you're talking about 04-08 GPs, they're typically pretty resilient to rust. The only real issues are the headlights and the clear coat falling off. Doesn't mean they're pristine underneath though, but nothing will be.
Just because I needed a break from cleaning the garage:

240 000 KM, looks pretty good from the pictures. Already had the brake/fuel lines done. Hopefully they were done correctly.

Not bad

This guy is out there though, 316 500 km, asking 3500.

"Modded" but doesn't list specifics.

Would not buy simply because the pictures are sideways. Anyways, rocker panels already replaced. First thing to do would be find the shop that did it, then ask to see other work. Also inspect the quality of the work done on the car itself.

"But they said it was MINT!"

Then you should also check out Autotrader. They tend to have a lot more of the dealer listings and arguably overpriced cars.
Well this might be pretty:

This car doesn't seem to have any tell tale signs of use other than the mileage and the drivers seat. Radio controls and DIC controls all look relatively good, at least from the pictures.
Also take that bluenick, $41 385 for a Grand Prix.

It's 8300 for a 2006 GT with 135K.
There's also a bunch of L26 powered cars with under 100K on them for sale on autotrader.
So what were you after again?
Also since the engine is out, it's cam time. Also pop the heads off and clean up the castings a la:
