• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

selliott turbo gp

Has anyone else had this issue with a lq4?

I put it back together with jbwelds plastic weld rated for 4400psi let it sit for 2 days

Didn't work, as soon as the turbo spools up it blew apart.

I'd say it doesn't really suprise me though, you are running alot of boost through a MAF never designed to be in a vehicle such at this.

Even truck guys ditch the MAF sensor because they cannot handle boost on a V8, they outflow it way too fast and just revert to speed density. But these computers don't have that option really.

I'd buy a new one and expoy around it before you ever run. Perhaps it will hold alot better being that it never had come apart yet.

for pressurized maf paths your looking at the Lt1 for durability, even though temperature resistance is still that of plastic for those with DS tb.

Lq4 is crap except draw through, really ****ty sonic welding/mass production

we had to search high and low to find an afc 2.2 with the scaling for every 1khz range from 1k to 13k

Since I moved away from my tuner how much of a difference am I looking at between mine and the Lt1?

Where are you turbo guys running your maf? I talked to John at Intense today and he recommended moving it from here. I'm not using the one off the North star btw the lq4 sits between the orange and black coupler.

To the intake side so it's not under pressure

Interesting concept, more laminar flow, but what do you do with the bov after it lets out metered air?

Also reading maf has to be pipe size x10 away from turbo, so 3" would need to be 30" away?

Relocating the maf wouldn't be horrible I'd just have to extend the wiring, if it truly has to be 30" from the turbo...
then that's not gonna happen. For now I'm replacing the lq4 then see if I can't get a hold of hpt and a different maf

between the black and orange looks like alot of stress is being put on it angle wise. Or is the intake pipe just hanging loose?
