Seatbelt light

For about 4 days now, my seatbelt light doesn't turn off when I latch my seatbelt after I start the car. It keeps flashing (for 30 seconds I assume) as if I hadn't put my seatbelt on.

I'm guessing there's some sort of sensor in the latch, then wires that feed somewhere, blah blah...but what I'm wondering is whether someone has had this problem before. I can't imagine it would cause any problems, but it sure is annoying...

Unless your area has car inspection, i would just remove the bulb from the cluster. Thats probably easier and safer than messing with the seatbelt latch and possibly not securing it back properly if you do change it...
