sure did :D I know retro is the best, I was just saying what a grate job he did on the cutoff. Damn eBay projectors cost me $300 back in 2008 :/
 


I know man, I got hosed back then too...LOL.

And ohhhh the issues. The cutoff, the crossbeam pattern, the flimsy brackets causing the flutter and bouncing. I could go on...

Oh I haven't done anything yet as far as getting them in the housings, haha. That's just the bare projector being shined on the wall. Putting them in the housings and having perfect rotation and what not is an entirely different animal that I'm not looking forward to facing (again.)

How are the morimotos anyway? It seems like they are pretty decent, I had the spider ones on my 01, I'm guessing they are a tad better? (Insert sarcasm)

I mean, to be honest, it's tough to compare them from my viewpoint because I've never owned the Spyder ones. I can't imagine you'd be disappointed.

This being said, I will say that the hard work that goes into a retrofit makes it much more gratifying in the end seeing the results that you've created. Plus, retrofitting allows you to customize them as you please.
 
Well considering the beams were crossed and my 3k fogs lit up the road more than the projectors I'm sure I will be happy lol. And he's I'm looking forward to the customization, quick question, do the halos fit right into the projector shroud?

They do assuming you get the right size. When you order from TRS, just make sure you ask them what size angel eye you need for the shroud you end up choosing. If I recall correctly, there might even be a drop down menu when ordering asking if you want to add angel eyes and they will be sure you get the right size.

As far as securing them, I used a few dabs of silicone in my last retro and they still hold steady. :)
 
Just scored a set of D2S ballasts for cheaappppppp (same price I was going to pay for Mori 3Five's.) So, now it's going to be a perfect setup. That was the last piece of the puzzle.

And you can't go wrong, EVER, with OEM bulbs. If I'm you though, I invest and go CBI with your setup. You won't be disappointed..

Or Phillips 85122+'s and Osram 66240 SVS's, also awesome.
 


I had the Philips in my H1 retrofit. Mind blowing difference!! I'm going to try to snag a set if OEM ballast if I can catch a deal! This is getting out of control :(

I'm happy to help aid in spending your money, haha.

I should be getting my RX's in the mail in the next day or so and once I get the ballasts I'll be reporting back to see how I like them with the CBI's and such.
 
Misread it I thought it said that you got a cheap set of D2S bulbs I was going to be jealous lol. Yes post when you do get it set up!
