The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
Lmao idk why you would wanna wait and order one lol. Hell when I do have to order something from the dealership down the street they get it in the next day. Of course I JY when I can but that's 45 mins away, and things like gaskets I don't get used. Just ordered one of those little gasket for the coolant port 10 mins ago it'll be there in the morning.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
I tried the stealership, 20 bucks for 1 bolt that would take like a week. I don't know why so long, when i got my cowl water deflector they had it next day but thats a different dealership.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
Exciting weekend, managed to break the truck by having the pads stick into the brackets making the brakes super toasty.
Got to watch CaptnBreakAlot and a friend install a cam in the regal.
And today I got my car back together as the bolt came in the mail today. Put threadlocker on the front bolts and hulked them on, tried to do the rears but i apparently hulked those on so I'm leaving it. Tightened up the trans pan bolts as they were kinda loose and my pan was leaking hopefully that fixes that. Topped off the trans as it was a little low and all is well.
Now i have to sort out with my manager about taking time off for the meet as she just ignored my time off request i had put in 3 months prior so theres that.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
Well i got the old seal out, I'm glad i bought that seal puller. It came out pretty easy with it. Axle was being a little annoying took 3 tries but it came out. last time first swing it was out lol. And by looking how i dented the seal getting the axle out i probably hurt it pulling the old axle out. Now i wait for the usps to deliver the new one and see how easy it goes on.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
smear some grease inside where the seal lives, it helps it go in easier. if you dont have a socket that fits around the rim of the seal you have to just tap it in evenly as you can with out damaging it.
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
Yeah idk if i have a socket big enough, i thought i did but i don't. I'll just be very careful with a screw driver and rubber mallet. And poop its not coming usps but ups so it probably won't be here for a couple hours
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
Sure, I'll just borrow yours till you fix mine then.
And hey I remember reading you don't have a shift kit yet...cmon you can't have a slow car on top of slow shifts lol. As of now I can have one or the other
Re: RussDinoGuy's 02 GT "Slowkar" (NOW WITH LESS BROKEN THANGS)
do not use a screw driver. it needs to be hit rather hard once its started, dont think a rubber mallets gonna cut it. i use a real metal hammer and tap it in nice and even like. top bottom, left right and keep working it in till its flush.
