my car ran randomly ran hot the other night i constantly check oil no milky residue.... i changed my raid tstat and water pump.. car continues to run a high temp..... what to do now??

98 gtp 180 tstat c.a.i. 192k

also since the car ran hot the first time.. i have a super hard time cranking it...it turns over and seems to never catch... i gotta treat it like it has a carb to get it running.. im lost now... any suggestions

prolly an Air bubble.. Or maybe your temp sensor is going bad??? Also you are running a 180 tstat with no tune???

i got the 180 tstat to try and fight the car running hot.. and the ect but the car starts steeming when it says its hot... and no i dont have a tune

as far as bleeding.. idk how to get it out then if its still in there.. i let the car run for a series of 20 mins or more.. for three days... and never got a steady stream..

i did smuts but i got another one.... and an update.. i took the bleeder screw out and it sounded like an tire running outta air... but no water.. and i will take the 180 stat out and try a 195.... when i got the car it didnt have a tstat in it soooo.... idk ill try that.. psh thats all left i can think of... btw i rode with the ac on and the temp barely moved.. i also made vids ill uplad them later

Did you change out the plastic elbow on the alternator bracket when you changed the water pump? and put a new O-ring on the waterpump/alternator bracket connection? Sometimes it can have a leak there and the coolant will burn up before it hits the ground. Where is the car smoking from? Also you could try the old school method of bleeding by raising your passenger sight front end and taking off the rad cap. Sometimes that works better than the bleeder valve

Pull the thermostat out and fill the LIM first with coolant.

Then put the thermo and rad hose back on.

And why do you people raise the front of the car?? IMO its does absolutey nothing.

Start car and let it warm up, once around 200ish, with the bleeder, turn it like 1-2 turns, you dont want it off. then bleed it and wait for a steady stream. You can also have someone hold the rpms at 2000 and then crack the bleeder open for like 5-10 seconds, then close it, and wait 10-20 seconds and do it again, I'd do it like 5-7 times to get any air out.

Also I never take the rad cap off while doing this, I always leave it on.

You raise the passenger side to make the rad cap the highest point in the cooling system. Then run the car with the rad cap off and the air will have a bigger hole to escape from. Thought that might help since he said he had nothing but air coming out of the bleeder.

the coolent elbows are good i checked them.. and i will lift the pass side with the cap off if that dont work i will do what you said

do a pressure test and if you can do a vacuum test, ifs theres no leaks in the system then its more then likely an air bubble
