Resevoir for intercooler?

this mostly applies when you have a ported lim, it opens up that blower hole to double its size almost.

plastic elbows are ok to use.
So it doesnt really provide any benefits though does it? Generally lower boost would be a good thing, but if its just lower because you made the lim bigger then it's not really beneficial right?

on a 2.8 im only hitting 12 ish.

the 3.2 i made 9 ish, but i also have rockers and ported heads. the heads alone dropped me a lb of boost.

and your a top swap too are you not? if so all the boost in the world is not your friend at all.

Volumetric efficiency is the ability of the engine to take in air. a bigger hole in the lower intake manifold increases the engines volumetric's efficiency, so while there isn't as much boost, the engine can get more air, which will make more power. the whole purpose of a supercharger is to move air into the engine, so by making the hole bigger in which the supercharger can push air, more power will be made.

Ya I'm topswapped currently rockers,headers,e85,3.3.
I just thinks its weird if the ported lim lowered boost that much I would think it would be a really good mod for everyone to do, even non intercooled people.

Ya I'm running the 3.3 with stock timing I was thinking of getting a 3.0 and bumping timing to 19* but maybe ill get a 2.9. Now i just have to mod my lim for pcv function or get a breather.

he isn't actually running E85, it's more like E50, if I remember what he said earlier is accurate.
You are correct its supposedly e54 and ya I'm pretty maxed timing wise on the 3.3 if I had to guess I bet I could raise timing to 18* and be fine kr wise but I've been to busy to redo the tune just to potentially gain 5hp. Especially when I will have to redo it again in two weeks when the intercooler goes on.

au contraire,,,, 3 or 4 more degrees at wot is way more then 5 hp on the butt dyno.

grab a comp g bin and take its timing files. thats what im running now, and its way better then what i had before. i did knock the timing down some at wot so i hit 17.

Ya I remember when I was on a 3.5 and going from stock timing to 18* made a big difference. The car just seemed to run a lot stronger, but either way it runs good enough now that I'm not gonna mess with it until the intercooler and big power comes!
Scotty did you still use 3/4" hose on the core itself despite the barbs being around .6"

i got the ic thats sold here, hoses went on snug from what i remember.
Stupid zzp lol. I wanted to get the phenolic core but ended up getting a core, he, pump, and some misc items shipped from canada for 100$ cheaper then just the phenolic core so yaa
