Resevoir for intercooler?

cheap and thin. like i said earlier you dont want the fmhe to hang low or you can hit it on a curb or parking block. and its rather ugly sticking out too.

high up looks good and is safe. side note i can feel my fans pulling air through the fmhe while standing still.

one thing you could try would be to bolt some sheet metal on the front of the heat exchanger to give it some cowling and help it scoop more airflow than it normally would.

I've been thinking about putting my battery in the trunk and running a intercooler tank where the battery is, also boxing in the fmhe so air is forced to go through it

U don't know if it would be worth the added weight. I'm not concerned about heat soack while driving only in Arizona heat and waiting at every other stop light for 3 frickin minutes.

I thought about moving the battery to the trunk, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to move one thing in order to put something else in it's place. if you can afford to not have a spare tire in the trunk, then just put the intercooler tank there. you can easily put a 5 or even 7 gallon tank in the place of the spare tire.

Or just get a super cool fwi like I have and you'll have a bunch of spare room right about the pcm area.

fwi are a waste of time, your filter is going to fill up and wear out fast. I didn't like the look the 97/98 overflow gave to the engine bay.

Ya they look like poo. I thought about using it just for the 5$ junkyard price but I like scottys idea better. It would be cool to have something I could put ice in

I'd deffinately invest in the ice box. A 300$ pump though... That thing better be able to move a billion gallons a minute for that much money.. Although this would be a good track setup, it would probably be wasted on me since I never go to the track.

Well that's pretty dam cool! I could probably benefit more by spending 300$ on tires though with my crap all season falkens.

Hey Scotty or anyone I have a general question. What pulley should I get. Currently running a 3.3 with stock timing. I was thinking just getting a 3.0 but was also thinking maybe just maybe a 2.9. How many pullies can people normally drop with with a fsic?

with a cam you might pull off a 2.8. then of course play with your timing.

the ic will lower your boost in the end, stock cam fsis with a 3.2 make about 8.5 psi. add a cam it will be lower.

im only making about 12 on the 2.8. crazy that i made that on a 3.4 before the ic on my old l67 just rockers and headers.

just start your collection of pullys, you never know what's going to happen a year down the road. I've sold pullies before and have regretted it, now I have a 3.2, 3.1, 3.0, and a 3.4. I will probably add a 2.9 and a 2.8 to the collection soon.

the collection is nice to have. i found a set of 5 and a hub for sale and jumped on it. 3.4, 3.2, 3.0, 2.8 and a 2.6. sold the 2.6 cause i knew id never use it.

Why does an intercooler lower boost?

I got the intercooler setup today and the previous owner included the fitting for the he and everything. They are plastic though. Does everyone run plastic or would copper be better? Also I measure the core hose fittings and they came out to .612 or about that. So do I still use 3/4 hose and just clamp that sucksr down?
