• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

repetitive posts

had an idea to maybe make it a point during registeration for all these new ppl that ask the same questions 100 times a day to read the stickys, maybe link them to http://www.grandprixforums.net/f17/top-swap-info-faqs-also-lots-7763.html and http://www.grandprixforums.net/f81/safely-modding-your-3800-powered-car-17482.html before they can make their first post or something... just an idea, site seems to have been getting cluttered up lately with the same NOOB questions about mods and such.

I would agree with you GTPINSC, but given how NO ONE reads the stickies say for example in the For Sale Threads, how would ever expect them to read anything else?

It's a never ending battle, people most times than not post before they look or before they search, thus a lot of the repeat questions we see here unfortuately .

I am sure hopefully we can figure out something.

I see. So repetitive posts *****in' about repetitive posts is a totally different thing, and not a repetitive post. Because, if you search for "repetitive post", you'll see that it's been done already. :-P

this will never happen. without a doubt there will always be people that sign up and immediately post a question that has been answered 100s of times without even taking 2 minutes to search for it.

welcome to the internet.

what im getting at is... during the registration process make at least those 2 links known seeing as how those are mainly the questions asked over and over...and if the dumbass posts a question covered in those threads... BAN

How about the audio/security section?

Its the same question: "OMG WHAT DECK DO I BUY?"

Go to the store and stop being a lazy twat waffle.

matt i disagree there, there is no clear cut way that we have to say "here's what deck you need"

if you'd like though i could put together a thread with some basic overview and guidance for website suggestions, explanations of some of the specs, etc... with some input from the know-it-alls on here

I've actually started with one on the basics of subs. I'll get around to that eventually.

Decks are like home A/V recievers, they add satellite radio or bluetooth and that warrants paying the same price a year later or more?

The best repeat post is top swap yet we have a sticky for it. Because of that, I'm with GTPINSC. Make noobs take a test!
