• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Removing rear O2 sensor on 01-newer PCMs -- Things you should know

This is all in good jolly fun, chaps.

K.I.S.S.'s...or I'm going to start editing posts to keep it on track.

Either of you two that have personal beefs, take it to PM's...no one wants to see your time of the month spread all over a thread that has quite a bit of information prior to the crapping.

I am an expert on this because it was OLD NEWS when you started this thread... It came up in 06 on the PT forums, and a fix was developed via hexeditor in 07, and nobody cared by 08 because there was a fix for it. You posted random crap on here for years while you waited for someone else to hand you a cookie cutter fix for it as you said that anything else was "too risky".

Just like how you are an expert on tuning software even though I haven't seen your name on ANYTHING sold or available for free download...

Might want to look a bit harder next time brah. I have done more than enough for the community in the terms of sorting through realistic tuning pratices... Which IMO is more important than trying to discover piles of tables that are never modified.

Prove it. Where's the link to the original/old thread on the PT forum?

And if what you say is true and this issue was as well-known as you claim, then why wasn't it mentioned ANYWHERE besides the PT forum until I brought it up here? Why didn't YOU mention anything about it being well-known since 06 on the PT forum until now? I started this thread almost 4 years ago.

Give it time ;)

My 03 would dump fuel , not noticeable until I had a Wideband. It would go to 11-12 AFR.

Doing a cam install made this hard to run without wanting to stall out. So I had to remove the cat test from my bin

How did you remove it from your bin.......Please let us all know.......It will help all of us with our tuning....Thanks from everyone.....:th_thumbsup-wink:

Use DHP.
Pull your bin.
Open it with tiny tuner.
Remove cat test.
Save.
Reload.

HPT users are less likely able to do this

How to do it depends on the OSID....I know the file I am using there is actually and option that says "O2 Sensor B2S1 Present" but some OSIDs don't have that option and have to mess with the test. If you read the first pages of this thread is tells you how to do it.

If you want, I guess I could take a screen shot of tiny tuner where it says "cat test". And of course you also remove the code

since no one posted a pic of it here ya all go.

also i was looking at a 2005 GTP so i could show a diff OSID had it and guess what... it doesnt... but what i have highlighted might work... if we set the number of cats to 0 my guess is it wont run the tests.....

I don't have a wb. Wouldn't I see it going over that if it was going into diagnostic loop? Car runs great, no sputters or stalls.
