The one I linked is designed for "remote start only", so PKIII is armed as long as you aren't remote starting. Chip key is still required to drive.IIRC a lot of the bypass modules just have you put a factory key into them so the Pass Key system is totally disabled all the time.
From what I've read, Pass Key is relatively easy to bypass as it is, so I was okay with loosing it. I can't tell how the one linked above works, but you probably have the best idea since you used to install them.
My bonneville has a dei, that I don't know much about at all. When I bought the car back in 2002, I was told the factory keyfobs controlled the remote start. I got it to work twice I think, in 13 years. maybe I'll bug you later about it.
