• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Remote start

yeah, the module is under the dash, for years it was a garage queen and nice weather only. However, the last couple of years I've driven it all the time, so in the winter it would be nice for it to work, lol.
 


What is this "win-ter" you speak of? It's 97* right now and I am just glad my car is white with tinted windows.

I end up in the Great White North quite a lot and have had to deal with this white stuff that falls from the sky and covers everything. I was in Centrailia (sp?) Missouri one time I think in 06' or so and had to drive back to St. Louis to fly home the next day as a blizzard rolled in that was the worst drive ever. I must have pulled all the foam out of the seat by the time I got to an area to stop because I had about 90 miles to go and had already been on the road for an hour. It started out as freezing rain that hit the windshield and stuck. The wipers just jumped right over it. I kicked on the defroster full blast and kept behind a rig until I went to find a place to stop for the night. I couldn't get the stupid GPS to come out of safe mode unless I stopped the car. I pulled into a rest area and hit all the snow that the plows were moving to the side and the car just floated over it and I kept steering and on the gas to get through. Found a place a few miles down and stopped for the night. Woke up the next morning snowed in. About a 18" of snow in the parking lot and a bunch of rigs stuck in the parking lot. I ended up taking about 2 hours to get out of the parking lot and kept hitting curbs then would have to get out and find the edge to go around. Finally got to St. Louis and all the flights were canceled and got the last room in the Ramada next to the airport. It was crazy they were talking about like 300k people out of electricity. I've also totaled an explorer with 5k miles on it and ended up stuck about 3 times. I'm good with the heat I guess and the Hurricanes, at least we have about a week to prepare for those.

Ahh yes, the worst ice-storm we've ever seen. Last cpl days of November, first few of December 2006.

Centralia, IL about 25 minutes from my house ..and I-64 that goes to St. Louis from Centralia sucks in the winter, no doubt. Now I work at a hospital about 15 minutes from Lambert Airport, lol.
 
Sounds like a normal winter around here. LOL

I love the turmoil snow creates. Only because I know how to drive in it. LOL
 


Lol, I get up there into Canada as well, I was in Winnipeg in February and last October. Was out on PEI in September and then again in November, that's the first time I've driven a Charger with mud grips on it. I've been up in Edmonton in December and get across the border to Windsor. I get around. Lol. It's not too bad driving unless it's black ice. That's how I ended up over guard rail in the side of a mountain in W. Virginia out in the middle of nowhere. But I've run down a road with 5' of snow on either side of the road at about 35 and then an hour later came back down the same road and hit a drift blown into the road and it forced me off of into the drift. It was a 4wd Yukon and had to dig myself out then had a couple of guys come along and winch me out. That was an ordeal. Then I was pulling into a parking lot for Maple Bacon in Winnipeg and got hit by a guy speeding down an isle, his fault. Dude didn't even have insurance (and was Mexican, why is it I'm the only Mexican with insurance?). I tried to 4x4 in a ditch in a Mitsu Montero and got 2 wheels off the road and got stuck. A local pulled me out. Then another time I was at a plant that I had to drive about a mile to get a signal and it was 6* out and I left my coat at the plant. I was making a U turn and there was a potato field and I got 1 tire off and didn't know it was a 2' drop off to the field well tried to back up and it was stuck so put it in 4 (dodge truck) and couldn't back out so I went to hook the turn and the axle was locked so it just pulled me farther into the field. I ended up walking back to the plant with a hoodie on and jeans (plant was heated) so a guy tried pulling me out and he just spun. They ended up bringing this huge Dozer with tracks the back was taller than me and hooked up and pulled it out. I've traveled for about 20 years so I do end up driving in the snow a lot. The end of the year and beginning of the new year is the busiest time for travel for me. I've been on 15 trips this year and haven't been anywhere for a month, but have a trip to Toledo this month. It's an adventure driving in the snow that's for sure. Funny thing is I always seem to get in these big storms and the. I'm the only one that shows up to the plant the next day after a storm. I was at Herbal Life near Charlotte and we got 8" of snow, they predicted it and my contact at the plant texted me at 5 am saying they were opning an hour later. So I show up at 9 and there's 3 cars in the lot! Lol.
