Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

This is what it reminds me of, but like yours alot more. I was thinking about buying something like this but he doesnt know alot about it, has 150k, modded some what, and then in arizona still and asking alot. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/4202527410.html it was blknbstd over on gpona http://www.gpona.com/forums/gpona-c...-of-the-month-april-2012-blknbstd-t27653.html
I'd take a trip l to go see this since I'm here in Arizona however an ad that's says positraction rwhp and non intercooled with 368hp I just don't believe

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

If he put 30k into it..he's a moron :)

I rather spend $7k and buy a stock one and mod it to your own liking.
Not 30k into it has 30,000 miles on the build lol. But just the struggle to find something nice lol

If you go over on gpona look up blknbstd thats the original owner who built it so you will know everything that he doesnt because he doesnt even know the brand of suspension work

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

Havent done too much lately..still need to order lcas n front sway bar for coilovers.

Ordered 10.5 mm zzp wires for 40% off black friday..doubt ill sit through that sh!t again though..website kept shutting down and the deals arent too spectacular unless you really need something. Only thing I debated was the full size intercooler and wbody store had them for 200 off anyways. Kinda just want a short stack though so I dont need the modified rails, turndown, alt relocator, and cradle spacers because that all adds another $450 to the base price of the full size.

Anyways I have a new guage set up. Got a deal on a 3 guage aeroforce set up and 04 gen 2 pillar pod so ill be making a for sale ad next with leftovers.

Also ordered one more cool set up that ill be doing soon.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

^^^^ what springs did you go with I read the first 20 pages and picked up they were DNA but when I search ebay the only ones I find are 97-03 I have an 07 GT s/c and how are the dna springs doing anywho?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

97-03 and 04-09 share the same springs idk why eBay listings don't know that.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

^^^ oh my bad I didn't know that ... I guess you really do learn something new everyday THANKS

Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

Just remember all those years are virtually the same

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

Yeah I basically switched them to ssc springs though because the dna's didnt drop the rear. Go with ssc and you wont regret it..get dna, n youll get ssc in the end n waste more money.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

How was the ride quality was it severely impacted . I mean I dont want to bounce down the road. Honestly dont care about handling either just want style and comfort. Ive read that I should upgrade struts too will probably do both

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

It's definitely noticeable being lowered on anything IMO..however I never upgraded struts so idk if that'd make a difference..I'm about to be on coils and be away with the springs..as far as appearance, it's the best you can be without coils. Maybe eibachs will lower more, but then it's more harsh.
I have the DNA springs still on the front and ssc in the rear since the DNAs didn't put me where I wanted to be. Ssc fronts will be pretty much the same as these.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - 19" Type M's, Coilovers & Inferno Hood

What about excessive wear and tear on the stock struts and cv's n such did you ever run into any issues?
