Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

I looked thru some of the previous owners records that was in the glove box n everything is saying 2006 GT so that's what I thought it was anyways. As far as the door sticker, if its on the door jams of the driver door I didn't se fe3, although the date said 10/05 so idk if that could tell you guys anything. But I'm not worried about any of it.

Could you let me know about the pcv between the cone and maf or if it needs to be between the maf and tb? Cuz I'd like to take care of that today even tho its below freezing here. Thanks
This should explain were the vent fitting and hose goes. Next to the pcv on the blower. http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/57-3049_inst.pdf

Thanks spazz I ended up just drilling a hole in the coupler between the maf and throttle body! :) my question was I didnt know if that hose could go before the maf sensor because it usually goes after the maf sensor. Just trying to be cautious not to mess anything up lol.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

So I spoke wit speed daddy and headers are out of stock! I ordered them on the 12th and it said they had them and plenty more, they took my money out of my account but I guess weren't gonna let me know they didn't ship?!? Wtff so I'm waiting to speak with them but not sure what to do next...wait for more to come in or go for the ssac??! I guess I'll see if they'll give me a discount or something but who knows. Any other advice on what I should do? I'm kind of upset because I have bought everything else for the install already!

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

Just wait until they're in stock. No need for a discount things like this do happen especially when guys like us are buying them left and right.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

Lol okay, yeah I've read reviews that this happens a lot, but if they say anything of course I won't reject! Haha but any idea of how long it'd take, if anyone had to wait before?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

Yup several had to wait until they were in stock. Ssac haven't been any better lately...they've been taking the money out in orders and not shipping the product and taking weeks to refund the money back.

Yeah I just got an email saying they were out of stock and expecting a shipment in today. Lol probably a lie but only time will tell. Thanks for the help.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

My one and only suggestion thus far since I couldn't know less about 3800's:

Please get rid of the 12000k HIDs. Not only can you probably barely see - it's annoying to everyone else on the road.

Haha I couldn't agree with you more buddy, I hate the 12k's n cant see a thing. I have to use my foglights to see. Im planning on getting 5k probably and aiming them down a little. Ive never had hids before and not too fond of the highers. Will the 5k be as bright and bad to others?

5000k will be a lot brighter as it produces significantly more lumens than 12000k. Think MAYBE ~1500 lumens vs closer to ~2300 lumens.

However, no matter what what you slice it, HID's in reflectors designated for a halogen bulb will always cause a disturbance to other drivers. The optics of the reflectors simply aren't made to properly reflect the light. Cars with HID's in reflectors from the factory are designed specifically to cut down on glare for other drivers.

My suggestion to you is to hunt down some HIR's (I believe they are a 9011 type bulb) or invest in creating a retrofit. You will be much more pleased and other drivers will thank you.

Okay thanks for the info, maybe ill just pick up some silver stars for the time being, I'm going to check out that retrofit thread. I've seen it but don't know what it involves. I realize hids are like a distorted outburst instead of a controlled if that makes sense.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Quick Modding

Come see me! lol i have 6k headlights and 5k foglights. If you see a really bright car in scs then its most likely me! lol
