Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

No I'm saying if I didn't have them I would not run them.. I like them lol the stockers are ugly

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

I want to get rid of this damn Inferno stuff lol.. I knew I was going to run into this problem when I bought that hood lol

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

Should of just forwarded me the info for the hood and I would of bought it and would of had to deal with selling the inferno and you could of spent the time focusing on the red loom

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

So I decided to take off the gaskets and paint the supercharger n throttle body today. Everything went good, but I'm still getting the 16.4 ltft. Only thing I can replace is the "t" and another dry rotted hose on the top. I went n bought a 3/8ths cap for the nipple but nothing different. So when I get back from Florida next week I'll do that. :(
First off, this was the temp. :th_laugh-lol3:

Supercharger off, n I'm getting a little of that creamy build up. Anyone know what was causing this?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

I bet your PCV isnt working correctly! It could be blocked... got that exact same creamy substance and went back in to unblock mine and havent had that problem since. Also for the front i tapped into the oil cap neck then ran it to a catch can then from there it goes to a location between the TB and the Maf... problem solved

And yes it looks 1000000x better lol

Also where in Florida you going? Im headed down there this week as well

Blower looks great, you painted it with the BBV and other things still attached?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

Also as for the Vac leak habe you sprayed down everything with carb cleaner yet? ... do me a favor and spray into the injector holes... i bet thats where its coming from... i had an issue with the ZZP fuel logs not sitting the injectors all the way down inside the holes

Haha yeah, I took some stuff off but left that. I just tried not to spray as much around right there.

I have with starting fluid n brake cleaner, n I dk how I can get em up n into the injectors? Every time we put the logs on they seemed to compress well, but always an option.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

Just where the injectors seat... not actually into the chambers where the fuel is sprayed... i thought that it was seated well too but found that 3 injectors could turn easily... they should be able to really move at all

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

But as for the creaminess i believe its bc of the pressure in the crankcase that is causing that, hows your front pcv setup?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

every injector i ever played with will twist. its pretty normal. yet they dont leak.

they do take some force to turn them, but they all move.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

Yes with force but not eaisly like mine did is what im saying... if it turns easy then they are not seated properly

Okay ik the back ones are good then, I'll have to check the front.

Front I have the hose barb tapped into the lim and running to the throttle body, where the back nipple used to lead to. Then I capped that on the back of the supercharger.

Okay, I'll check em when I get home later or tomorrow.

Hmm not sure about that setup...havent seen tapping into the lim before... i thought the only real way to maintain stock pcv function was to tap into the front valve cover and then run it to in between the TB and the MAF... or tap into the TB but before the butterfly valve..

Alright, you have a pic of your setup? I have a billet oil cap, so I wonder how to go about it. I can add the plastic neck from the stock if need be.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC Installed!

I dont have a pic and its dark right now... but basically you want the pressure from the front crankcase to be relieved and draw in air its metered and fresh air...so you run a barb from the oil neck to a location between the TB and MAF(and yes cap the nipple on the back of the SC)... not before the maf as the air could contain oil and cause more problems for the maf... ideally you want a catch can setup to collect the moisture and oil from the air
