Radiator Leak

I have a radiator leak in my 01 GP. Does anyone recommend a specific "stop leak"? Or is the general consensus that I should not use a "stop leak"? I just don't want that stuff circulating through my engine. Am I paranoid?

On a second thought, my brother in law used an epoxy sealer on his radiator and he said it never leaked again.

This car is a God-sent vehicle. I've put over 125,000 miles on it in 4 years and it now has over 250k. It still runs and shifts like a champ. Other than a radiator leak, I would trust this car to drive from L.A to New York City. I love my GP!
 


How sure are as to where the leak is? A leaking radiator is rare. But the plastic elbows that are just above the water pump are known to start leaking they are cheep to replace but does take a little mechanical ability.
 
It's easy to just replace it if you can find one used or new it wont take long to do it yourself its just like a really big puzzle lol
 
Ive heard that Bars Leaks is the only acceptable stop leak, but dont use the pellets. The Silver stuff is the best but the copper stuff is ok.
 


Normal leek there is the hose and clamp. Have you tried replacing the radiator hose and clamp I know it is a pain to get into and tighten that clamp but the radiator is metal and if broken can be soldered. If that is the problem ZZP sells a new bigger radiator and they are not hard to replace. If you put stop leak in it will be in all of the system and can cause other places in the engine to be blocked and that is why it is a temp fix and needs to be gotten out as soon as possible if you do use it. Finding and fixing the problem is the best idea.
 
If you can see where it's leaking on the plastic end then put jb weld where it's leaking it's worth a shot.
