quick strut

my backend keeps bottoming out when i haul work stuff i was just wondering if this stuff is as easy to install as they say it is and if the quality is good

the riding high wont be a problem i like the way it looks sitting low but i usually have around 200 lbs in the trunk i just dont want to get in over my head im mainly just a tune up kind of guy

Its more simple than brakes, honestly.

Two bolts down low, three up top.
The entire assembly is built in the quick strut, so no compressing springs, etc.
Steps:
1. Safely Jack up either front or rear first, put car on jack stands.
Remove wheel
2. Remove nuts (21mm I think) holding strut on hub assembly, you'll need an 18mm boxend wrench if your bolts turn.
3. You'll need a big hammer now, to smack the bolts out. Strut is now loose down low.
4. Now pop the hood(when in rear open trunk lid), and use a 15mm socket to remove the 3 nuts there.
5. Strut will now come out, reverse process to put in new strut. Repeat process for each corner.
6. Put the wheels back on, safely lower the car to the ground, and you're done.

this is really helpfull i have found them for 124 a peice do you know where i can get them cheaper then that

ya thats what i thought im going to have to get new tires from the fenders hitting ima also roll the fenders with a bat tomorrow

id prefer you use a rubber mallet over a bat. either way your NEED a heat gun so you can keep the paint hot and not crack it.

i have a feeling if you use a bat youre gonna crease the fender and crack the paint all in one go.

i have a torch do you think that would work really i just need to bend it up a little it seriously looks like some one has pulled it down

Check advance auto parts.
They have an online coupon, big35. It will save 35 on each order of at least 80 bucks..
So if they have each strut for 125 each, you could order four separate there and get them for 90 each, 360 all four.

Order online, pickup in store.

they have monroe struts that are already put together do you think that would work good
A "strut that's already put together" is a quick strut.
If you were to get just a regular KYB GR-2, it would be more work than just the five bolts I mentioned previously.

Rockauto has the Monroe Econo-Matic Complete struts for like $85/each, and the non-econo monroe for about $115-120/each.
