Questions about the Radio/CD Player - Not Working

I have a 2003 GP SE.

The radio works but the light on it has burned out. Can the bulb be replaced? If so, how?

The CD player hasn't worked in months. Is this a common problem? It will spit out CDs and give an error code.

Can I replace it with an aftermarket radio?

Thanks for any help.

yes replace it with an aftermarket radio to get rif of all your problems. all you need besides that radio is a dash adapter, an antenna adapter, and a wiring harness. pop off the dash cover and remove 2 bolts to get the radio out and thats it

that would be the easiest thing to do, and you'll be happier with a new one. if you're trying to use CD's you burnt yourself, it might be too old to play the CD-RW format. seriously though, don't but scosche. it's all crap. all of it.

same i bought a pioneer deh-7800mp and put it in my blazer, wrecked the blazer 3 months later, put it in the gp for almost 2 years, then sold it to my friend and its been workin for him w no problems. it will b 3 years old this july! WIN

If you don't feel like wiring up ten adapters to get a butt ugly aftermarket CD player in your car, go to a junkyard and pull a stock one out of a late 90s early 00s Grand Prix, Montana, Grand Am, Sunfire, etc. Our stereos are a dime a dozen in the junkyards. Plug and play.
