OK, got the deal for the GXP to take delivery PDQ.

I was planning on replacing the worn out stock summer tires with ContiExtremeContact DWS.

These are asymmetrical but nondirectional, meaning I can rotate side to side if I contuinue with Pontiac's staggered setup.

Stock front size is in short supply at present, even at Tire Rack.

Substitutes I'm considering:

235.50.18 all around.

255.40.18 F and 225.45.18 R, which are not in short supply. These are 1" shorter than stock.

OR, order and wait for the stock front size. I will be replacing the stock rear 225.50.18 with the 235 which IIRC is .3" taller, since the DWS don't come in 225.50.18 yet.

Thanks for your opinions.

i would sell off one of the sets of wheels and get a matching pair all around the car. that staggered setup was a bust from the get go. id then run 245 series tires on the entire car.
