PS4



So I had a PS once....but I got sick of the online play cause I could never stay in matches or lagged a lot. Got an Xbox when the PlayStation network was down for three months and had no problems at all playing online anymore. And also don't mind paying
 
I love how when Sony FINALLY decides to charge for online play all the xbox fan boys start acting like Sony's the worst. MSofts been doing that for over a decade and higher prices. Sony is just now doing it, and at a much lower price....All you need is 5$ a month to play the online aspect of the game. You get more features on the PS4 without having to pay for anything unlike paying 10 or however much MSoft is going to charge this gen to have access to EVERYTHING. Ill pay 5$ to pay online. I know my girlfriend prolly wont, but even then 5$ is nothing. She doesn't have to pay to watch her netflix or play her games (shes not into online). Unlike MSoft where you have to pay to have access to netflix and all their features. What a jip, MSoft is pathetic.
 


Cheaper?

12x5 = 60 for PS4

49 bucks though target.com online for Xbox 360.
Avg range is 49-59 bucks a year.

So in the end its not cheaper, its exactly the same.

There is no extra money paid to use the internet or netflix on the xbox, just pay the yearly fee to be online, PS4 is switching to that so why is it a jip now?? You are going to get "jipped" when you buy a PS4 then.

Uh you do need a gold subscription to watch netflix and all that jazz. And xbox is more expensive. And the whole used games debacle is going to make buying games more expensive. And people who may not have internet can still use their damn PS4, or if they went on a trip or something they can use it. So in the end "The Xbone will be more expensive console to have". If you want a mic, that comes seperately, if you want all the features you need to have xbox live subscription and CONSTANT internet. Its a joke

If you want to use all the features of both the xbox and ps4 ONLINE the cost will be exacty the same.

Go google some numbers and you'll find that a gold account which is the only thing avalible to buy is going to be the cost of a new PS4 5 bucks a month x12 for a year.
 
ps4 doesnt REQUIRE the gold membership, only for online multiplayer, if you sit around and just play single player oblivion or whatever and catch some netflix through your box which most people do, no membership required

and lets not forget the additional $100 the ps4 leaves in my pocket...
 
^^ Exactly....Plus Sony isn't trying to kill the used game industry and services like Gamefly by enforcing DRM. I'm not a fanboy, I just call it as I see it. And it's pretty clear this time around.
 


Meh, these consoles do all the same things now, too much arguing about the small stuff.

Its a gaming console that has turned into a computer, tv, music player. Buy it for the games.

I prefer the xbox because of the games they have, ps consoles don't offer what I like.
 
It's like everyone brought their game rage into this thread, lol. Most of the simple things were blown out of porpotion and has been since the xbox was initially revealed without going into the details on some changes they are making.
 
I too will agree to that. Except for my opinion, the PS systems have some games I like while the Xbox has it's exclusives I like. I will eventually get the Xbox One, but all I want is a console to game on for next gen, and with the launch titles, PS4 is more what I want. I still want the Xbox One for Titan Fall, Halo, and Forza, but I can get similar experiences and more in the mean time with the PS4. Plus friends kinda factor into which console Ill be getting, nothing worse than playing a MP game lone wolf style
 


if i could buy a stripped down version of the console that literally played games (PS1/2 anyone?) i would. online content for me is only good because i can download some new game when i beat the last one i was playing.

playing the game online competitively, or with other people, can be completely erased as an option and i wouldn't even care.

playstation has a lot more RPG style titles and exclusives that i like. they always have, even when competing with nintendo instead of xbox.
 
Will probably buy both. Like them both, I'm not poor so choosing just one isn't really a problem haha. Plus for real heavy duty gaming I use my Alienware laptop. But as far as always being connected to the webs for xbox, who cares? I know I don't. I only play with friends on it online. Even when its a single player game I'm hooked up to the internet in the back ground. Not a big deal at all. If the mandatory connect that the govt can spy on me with wants to watch my room and me sleeping go for it. In the end its all little things that people are blowing out of proportion.

Thats s why I always liked playstation, nothing like a 60-100hour rpg with a good story
 
with all this NSA and prism crap coming out, all my cameras are unplugged when im not using them, f#ck the man
