Projector Hi-Beams

I know everyone is going to say to do a Retro-fit and what not, but no matter what you say, I am not going too. I'm just here looking for a simple question asked. Yes, I've heard everything about Projectors, "They suck, they bounce, the light output blows, stock or retrofit" Blah blah blah.

But I've been thinking about getting these projectors sometime soon.

97 03 Pontiac Grand Prix 1pc Black Dual CCFL Halo Projector Headlights w Corner | eBay

Why? Because I do love the looks of the CCFL halos. I am going to give them a try, and if I do not like them, i'll back to stock housings and will by my loss in my money.

Here's my question. I know projectors take H1 Hid bulb type. But what about the High-beams? I thought I read somewhere its 9005?

I have Bi-xenon headlights currently, and they suck. The bulb just literally pushes out an inch and that's it.

Is there any way to achieve real high beams with these projectors? I am just unsure.

The high beams in the aftermarket housings are a separate bulb and use the reflectors, not the projector.

Yes you would, and the highs will literally suck just as much as they do now. Why no retros? Everyone's doing it nowadays.

Then no high-beams then.

I'll just stick with the single beam then.

Personally, on the Retro's , I do not like the way they look in 97-03 cars. Plus I am to lazy to make a set as well.

The only way I would do a retro, is if you made them for me. Lol.

I have the exact same Ebay projectors. High beams literally arent worth it. H1 HIDs and HID fogs, and you can sorta see where you're going.

I loved how the ebay projectors looked, especially with the corners tinted.

Though, I upgraded to the retrofits, and would absolutely never go back

I would not spend $200 on those projectors knowing what I do now (living with them for 3+ years)
Be prepared for putting foam under them, using rubber washers to stop vibration, and zipties to mount them when they break (and they will break, it's just a matter of time)

The looks of those projectors are quite nice. Plus the CCFL's are very bright.

Many people go through a projector stage, I swear, almost every GP owner owned a set of projectors. Well, I am a little late to the party, but I want to give them a try.

When I start to dislike them, I'll start thinking about Retrofits.

Now, I dont know for sure, but I think I have those same headlights in my car. They work nice for me, but they look ugly. By ugly I mean I really like them and they look nice but they dont FIT the way Im pretty sure they should. And they bounce. And have some zip ties holding them in. In a perfect world Id like to get new headlight housings for them (they got tinted with niteshades except for a circle for the low beams, previous owner) but Im unsure if I can get just new housings and have all of the stuff inside those transfer over. Ill attach a pic once I get them off my phone.

they dont look bad at all until you get close and then wonder "wtf those dont line up at all!" Im not sure if its just because maybe they arent mounted correctly/the mounts are broken, but it seems to me they just dont fit right at all
