Still have most of the dash except glove box and bottom panels (for easy access to wiring)
I believe I took around 500 lbs out but it could be less, 500lbs is the max we took out. We weighed the stuff coming out but didn't keep a precise tab.
I will weight the car soon and let you guys know.

No carpet, no rear seat, no passenger seat. 28 lbs driver seat instead of stock one.
Gutted the rear doors, gutted passenger door, front and rear bumpers, gas tank replace with fuel cel.
DId most of the cheap weight reduction. Don't have any lightweight parts part from seat and fuel cell.
Drove the car to the track 200 km round trip.

just how bent was the driver of the GT500? lol nice run!
He looked dissapointed, he was told he had 750HP with the whipple supercharger huge exhaust and other mods.
Super nice car. Nice owner as well. His tune is off simple as that.
His 1/8 mile is decent in MPH but has poor E.T. due to lack of practice with the car.
Ran a poor MPH in the 1/4 I suspect he's getting a lot of knock in the last part of the race. He only gains 10 mph in the last 660.
I gain 26 MPH on average.

A little video showing a part of the day at the dragstrip.
Which btw is the slowest in my region, other tracks are 1-2 tenths quicker !

Shows a race vs GT500 and inside view, the neat Surface 2 computer in the dash (slides in the dash easily)

Ran 11.6s twice vs the GT500.

Trans never slipped. All runs start in 2nd gear and I can tell you it is a BIG advantage. No lost time in the shift.
Less danger to hurt the trans during a hard 1-2 shift. Easy no shift burnout.
The trans being in a "safe mode" has full line pressure and shift nice a firm with no flare.

I will say this Thanks for the Videos!

I have an uncle that just bought a modded gt500 has FRPP intake smaller pulley tune long tubes and full exhaust.

Im planning a turbo build with zachs old black caged coupe that held the sc record of around 10.8 sec 1/4.

Zex kit sitting in my closet along with electric exhaust cut out, wideband, and aeroforce. With that shell under 2600#s I very excited to see him once his Gt500 gets spanked too!

The in-car vids really really make me miss my black gutted GTP that got T boned by some stupid teacher in Feb of 2012. That car was very fun with all the weight I had out of it!

gutted trunk, no backseat, no headliner, no carpet, no door panels, no bumper supports, no front sway bar, no diagonal braces, rear belts cut out, no rear speakers, no spoiler, no fog lights, no fender liners, no passenger side airbag, just 2 front seats center counsel and dash shell left on it.

^^ That cars engine and trans should live on in the caged car. once it gets cometic head gaskets and head studs.

Anyways cant say a hell of a lot even though im still scratching my head about you car!

What fuel did you use? and what is the tire size? them fronts looker a lot shorter than stock tires.

Again thanks for the pics and videos I appreciate it!

I definately have less weight reduction than your black gutted GTP. I still have both airbags most of the dash didn't cut anything in the floor, headliners there, driver door has everything except the plastic panel.

The tires are only 23 X 8 X 15, very small slick and I believe if I had bigger slicks I would had a much better timeslip. I had plenty power to blow the slicks away. I had to finely work the pedal to keep them from breaking loose.
I used pump gas during my 1st 2 runs with zero KR and switched to race fuel as I had intentions of raising boost. Never did raise boost because I kept going faster with more practice and figured it was fast enough.
Next time I will be running a race fuel tune and more boost for sure.

Awesome thanks for the info and the proof will keep me from doubting any further. Thanks again.

Like i posted in your other threads i appreciate keeping things straight forward as it sure cuts out all the drama!

Looking forward to seeing how much this car evolves after its shaken out a little more.
If its running like this first time at the track there is more left on the table........

I ran 100 mph on the street my best 1/8 mph was 96mph at the track which btw is 2mph and 2 tenths slower than other tracks. Also didnt you say id maybe just scratch 11s ??

uh?

a 7.7 1/8 mile is like, stock numbers maybe slightly modded stock numbers... a low 13 or so... a 100mph trap is basically a mid 10 second pass. So your math is probably real wrong.

I'm going to quote you before you edit. Guys like you really need to back off and stop pretending you know it all.

You said right there a 7.7 1/8 mile was a low 13. You proved right there you wanted to educate me on something you knew nothing about.
With a 7.7 1/8 I ran 11.8 @ 120 mph on my 1st pass. Later I ran 7.5 1/8 mile and 11.6 1/4 mile with more practice.
You were VERY VERY off on that number for a guy who claims he's got ALL the math figured out.
