ok guys and girls no flaming but autozon, advance, napa and o'reillys are telling me that all our power steering componants are special order and i have to work tonight (pizza guy): and i do believe my pressure line is leakin like a siv onto my headers so my Q is is there any way to disconnect or bypass the power steering pump???

You could run it dry on fluid but then you'll be needing a pump and rack probably. The way the belt is routed I'm pretty sure you can't bypass it.

There's a guy on an Idaho forum that is runnin no power steering but it's not easy. His regal is a mostly custom turbo car. After he nixed the pump he pumped the rack full of grease and sealed it up.

Gives me ane excuse to pull my motor and clean up the engine bay and fix exhaust leaks... and yes I kno I don't have to pull the motor to do it but why not right

i kno that all too well... but my cheapie headers need to be welded into one piece and itll b easier to do with the motor out and my balance shaft is ticking real good, might as well kill the whole flock while im at it lol
