im trying to remove the water pump and the power stearing pulley is in the way of the last bolt. i dont think i can take the power stearing unit off itself with out taking the pulley off to get to some of the bolts. i cant quite tell if its a hex screw in the pulley or its just maybe pressed on, i dont know. does anybody have any info on it??

o yea and haynes manuals blow.

Just changed my water pump last week.
Leave the pulley on the pump. Instead pull the pump off the engine and lay it against the firewall enough to get access to the final bolt. The power steering pump is held on with two 13mm bolts that you access through holes in the power steering pump pulley.

If you should ever have to change the power steering pump you DO need to remove the pulley and there is a dedicated puller for that. In order to do it (remove the pulley) the service manual says you have to pull the pump first.

sweet. ill give it a shot tm but im pretty sure that shoud work.

thanks. now i just gotta get to a hardware store and get some more bolts that someone left out before when they did it...
