Thoughts and prayers for your grandma, Brandon.

I got yelled at already for flipping thru the news paper "on the clock". Wtf dude. I can't flip thru the paper and read a simple article, but you can sit and talk politics and about happy the hobo for hours. Give me a freaking break.

The HR Director caught me streaming a news program. He said He'd just gotten back from telling everyone not to do that because it took up too much band width. I'm the IT manager so i should know better. :th_laugh-lol2:

Big enough for an HR department, but too small for a big pipe? Where does that put you? 300 employees?
 
Sort of got a offer to return to my old part time job today. Idk what to think....I hated it but all of the problem people are gone and its better now. Thinking I could put my foot down and only do 2 nights a week and no weekends. At least get enough a month to pay school loan. I just don't know. Stay at buskirks and pick up part time or find a totally new job and just do it or do 2 jobs. Where is my easy button in life?

My opinion, look for one good job. I'm at the point in my life where I really need to try to enjoy my free time. If you work full time at one job and part time at another just to get by then you are never going to get ahead, or have any free time either.

I have been working 50+ hours a week with my weekends off. I could find a job to work on weekends and make some extra cash, but what's the point? Its just more gas I'll be putting in my car, more lunch I'll be eating away from home, and less time to actually rest and relax.

My time is worth more than that.

Well...Been at the hospital with my gma since 9am. Sat up in the bed with her all day. I've rode the nurses and doctors asses around here, no one seems to know what's going on. Glad I'm here. According to them, the doctor last night was rude and asked her if she really had an emergency. And then he ate his words. He had my grandad scared into tears, he pretty much said she was about dead.
BUT I'm here now. And things will get better. She's gotta get 3 more blood transfusions. It's a whole bunch of crap but that's enough of an update. She's a bit better today that's what counts.

AND my fvckin job. I called them sunday night as soon as I heard something. They told me sure go ahead we'll get your shift covered and tough it out. Well today I was told that I have to cover it or show up. So tomorrow I'm calling the owners of our chain and get down to the nitty gritty.

Brandon, I'm gld you're there taking care of things.. My wife had a similar problem she had to fly to Texas and save her brother from some poor care.

And thank you sudden. I don't think it's poor care. They just rub me the wrong way sometimes. If you come in here you should know what's going on with her. At least be familiar with current ailments and current test results.

I think it's always better to have someone from the family to see things go as they should. Yeah the call over the boss isn't something you want to do but sometimes it's the only way.

I mean what can I do? The manager essentially told me "I know your gma (who is like my mom btw) is sick in the hospital but you have to come work."

Dammit I just got here. If I left for a silly shift at that place and something happen, I'd never forgive myself.
