a goose hit me once, it was taking off with a whole flock, of course they thought taking off while crossing the street was a good idea, i caught one with the ladder rack and it landed very dead in the bed of the truck. took next right turn, and unloaded the carcass.

mine was loose as a goose as the saying goes, aka dead as a door nail... it made the whole truck move when i hit , and it made the ladders rattle good, like i had been hit or something, then i saw feathers and its body in the bed.

yeah, theres a spring on one of the mirrors that just probably popped off. that or that little motor in there went bad.

I was coming up to a yard with a big pond and saw 4 geese in the yard just waddling around...2 took off, no big deal. The other 2 still looked content so I proceeded without slowing down. Then the 3rd one went and well yeah...

This is what colliding with a goose doing 55-60 will do to a car.

It happened so quick, it was either slam on the brakes and put the car in the ditch and cause serious issues...or take it like a boss and pray it didn't come all the way thru the glass. I had just shut the sunroof a few miles before this, or I'm pretty sure it would have ended up inside the car.
Insurance rep got a laugh out of it. Me on the other hand, took a few days to find the humor in it.
This happened 2 weeks after I got the G6, still had paper plates on it. I got to drive a rental car for 2 more weeks while it was getting fixed.

Danielle didn't it such to have to drive a crappy rental car when you just bought a new car? I got rear ended 2 weeks after I bought my old aurora and ended up driving a neon for a week while it got fixed. Neon did a hell of a burnout though. I took the car back and the guy was looking it over and said you must have had fun with it lol

Two winters ago when some jackass forgot to strap down a piece of equipment and I hit it with my Stealth, I was stuck driving a crapolicious rental Cobalt.

That thing handled almost as bad as a Grand Prix.

I don't think I had a choice. There was a decked out g6 next to the galant and i asked if I could drive it. No...your stuck with the galant. I only had so much daily allowance and apparently the galant was the only one in that bracket. I did enjoy how I only had to fill it up once in the 2weeks i had it. Kicked butt in mileage.

had a "camp" fire over at our friends place last night, always fun.

today i think ill give the GP some lovings..
