Few random thoughts:
-forgot about little bro asking me to chaperone his field trip to the science center in alabama. not only are they draggin this drive out with a slow ass bus, it must be against their religion to stay in a hotel because we're sleeping on the floor in sleeping BAGS. -_______- the things you do for siblings.
-oh and i wanna go to Ireland :D

My boss posted a video of his (12 yr old) daughter singing a Christina Aguilera song....I got chills down my spine.
Wow. Absolutely incredible for such a young voice!

at least in Ireland, you have a fighting chance to speak to the locals, but the Irish brogue is like another kind of English, the drunker they get the harder it is to understand them. and they like to get real drunk, sing, then fight, in that order lol

lol well I don't fight. but i'll participate in the rest hahah.

but yeah, in Italy we were lucky to get a conversation with the locals. luckily the one bar we kept going to had this one really nice person who was genuinely interested in conversation with us and tried to understand us and make conversation.

Ive got a buddy who is irish, he doesn't have a giant accent, only when he gets like super piss drunk on hard liquor does it come out lol

my ex of 12 years had a aunt who married this guy who was from Ireland, he had been here for 10 years, and i could understand him fine, he went back home for a year, he called my house asked for my girlfriend, i go its for you, its some foreign guy, she gets the phone and just falls to the floors laughing her ass off. shes like its Mike! im like mike who?! she then says MC carthy! i had no idea wtf he was talking about. and i knew this guy well.

nah. towards the end of my week in rome i really started to embrace the more authentic places and get the swing of things. the culture is what got me :)
