• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

That line is actually the best on the whole truck. Its got at least 4 years left. There are a few more stages of rust before brake lines start leaking. I see them get poofy and I can peel a layer of rust off of them, shortly before they go. That's pretty much surface rust, the whole rest of the line went across to the other side and looked pretty much the same.

I wonder how these things work. Thinking that hole is a magnet or something

It didn't come with a gasket... Luckily I have the old one at work still

Yeah who knows if they stop working after a while. I suppose you could find out by turning the key on during an oil change to see if the light stays on. Not sure if it will unless it's running. My friends aurora goes a quart and a half low and his low oil light comes on. It has the same sensor setup. As long as it warns you before you run dry it's a good thing to have. If it is at a quart and a half low, that would be 3 quarts when the light comes on. Still safe but warning worthy.

With the sensor nonexistant on the impala for now, the light comes on when you first start it, but goes away after 30 seconds or so and doesn't come back until the next key cycle. I find that odd that it goes away. But I guess it's not like low oil pressure.

when my oil pressure sensor blew out the first time. i took 4 quarts to re fill. that light never came on, im really surprised i didnt hurt it.

Wow. That light should have been on then. I bet it was sucking air at that point. Did the low oil pressure light ever come on? A friend of a friend's olds 88 with the 3800 had pretty low oil for a day. He said whenever he'd make a turn, his oil pressure light would come on.. And thought it might be time for an oil change. I think like a half quart came out. Did the change and it's still running fine.

no dummy lights at all came on. still ran good. it may of hade more oil in it. like 1/2 a qt more, you know some comes out when you pull the sensor. but no lights came on.

My phone had a lot of updates to do so I let them do it not thinking. Well tapatalk updated and you guys were right.....its awful! Boooooo.

Today I finally decided I should probably put my request in for the time I need off for wedding and honeymoon. Why does it seem like its creeping up on me really quickly? I'm suddenly starting to not feel so prepared....and more broke.

I won't be a stay at home. I can't stand not being out. He wants to farm full time eventually. So he always says I'll be the one to be the "bread winner" and he works from home. Which I'd be ok with. And hopefully no kids for a few years.
