At least that way theres no wasting time with a downshift when you need to change your traffic position on the interstate.

When I was fixing Benz wrecks there was an SLK that got T-boned hard then fixed (girl wrecked a LOT) then a couple months later came in for scheduled service and when speaking to the service advisor, mentioned one gauge always being in the red. "Which one?", he says as they walk to the car. She points at the tach. "When did this start?". Like a week after I got it back she says. A plastic internal trans piece busted (probably cracked when t-boned then broke later) and it never came out of first but she continued to use the car as usual. Man O man. Yeah no OD means nothing to the mainstream!

The guy buys and re-sells from overstock at lots, right after he said that I knew he wasn't going to be much of a negotiator. He's a retired auto tech who used to teach. To my surprise I got him down to 5,550 but still found a few things after that, he wouldn't go any lower. And I wasn't paying that much for that car that needed some work. It has a dent in the drivers quarter panel you can barely see in the pictures(didn't see it til I got there) Absolutely nothing had been done to the car it seemed, there was paint marker on the strut tower under the hood that said trans flush, checked the fluid and honestly it looked original. Like I said, nothing done to it. Original spark plugs/wires, original battery from 06(wow) That's 9 years, it was leaking all over the place. Plastic coolant elbows, dex cool(looked good though). It had a boost solenoid code, plenty of touch up paint all around the car. The front bumper had a small crack going down from one of the grilles, and touched up chips in many places. The stock fob didn't work, it had an aftermarket alarm on it which was a turn off for me. The dash had a crack right by the windshield. The ad said 110k miles but he had 111.9k on it. LR tire was really low, probably a rim leak.

KBB says $5,125 for very good condition, honestly it's only in good condition. He knew he could get 5,600 for it from some (and I paraphrase) Some young girl who will really like it, and parents will get it, without really looking over the mechanical stuff. I definitely agreed with that, but that's not me. lol

When he pulled away it sorta sounded like the resonator was going, and a slight clicking from the cv axle, my friend mentioned that as he's driving away with the window down and it looked like he got kinda pissed lol.

Anyone else watching the AL wild card game notice the dude in the marlins jacket??

Thats the same exact guy that that sat behind home plate all throughout the playoffs last year. Must be some rich old man that has nothing better to spend his money on. Those tickets gotta be a grand or more per game atleast.

If I ever hit big for the lotto I'd probably do something like that. LOL Wear something that sticks out and sit right behind home plate.

To this day I still remember scenes from one of those safety videos I saw in high school shop class. My sunglasses are just tinted/polarized safety glasses. No reason not to wear them.

Dish the story, it sounds like a lesson best learned in one's youth. Hope it was a near miss, not a partial hit or a chemical splash. Had my share of close calls and they suck worst when you need a magnet lol.

I'm talking like the little splinters like a burr tool throws, or the red hot dust from cutting and grinding. Or heaven forbid a wire wheel piece. I've had best luck pulling metal chunxx from eyes (my own and others) with the corner of a paper towel. Worst case, try a CLEAN magnet. Eyewash almost always flushes stuff out though. Funny story a friend of mine (RIP) had a BB in his neck from kid days and could not get those MRI or catscan things because of it maybe wanting out.

I agree with everything you said cause that's the crap I deal with at my job. Safety glasses work 98.3% of the time.

What's strange is I have a BB in my neck as well. I wanted them to take it out but they said it would've caused more damage to take it out so they left it in. "Its just shrapnel" they said. Now if I get injured and I'm unconscious, they aren't gonna know I have a BB in my neck if they do an MRI. I think I'm gonna talk to another doctor.
