• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Post Top Swap Issues 2005 GT

Everything is rolling along great in the GT but last night I wanted to connected to BCS wire into the PCM harness. I did this and the thing still doesn't work. I will assume its the ZZP computer and it may not be programmed to have the BCS, but any other options/opinions would be appreciated. I can tell you the PCM is programmed to use a GT map and not a GTP so I wont be able to read boost electronically, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have the pigtail for the BARO sensor and the sensor but I see no point in wiring it in as I doubt ZZP put the option in the PCM as well. I'm stuck any ideas? I was going to take the BCS off of my moms 2001 gen3 as I know it is good and connect it to my car and see if their is any change. But as of now when the car is at idle the valve is half closed and doesn't change at any speed/rpm.

In case you were wondering how I kept my BCS closed before. Its a stupid idea and looks like ass

take the vacuum line off there, leave the solenoid open to the air. it'll give you full boost.

cap the vacuum line or shorten it to end at the FPR so you dont have a vacuum leak.

i would wire the MAP in (baro, as you referenced it).

I dont understand why the L32 has two map sensors one for map and one for baro. I can kinda guess why but i am probably wrong.

Using it for calculations of fuel/air density blah blah.. it's all in the programming. I don't have a good answer off my head. But if you look up a baro code in the FSM it'll tell you exactly what it's used for.

Bio...you said it...not us. It's ok, you are on the previous gen.

a GT file will not support a BCS or a baro sensor.... Dont try to use them.

The bbv just needs to have vac to the top of the canister, leave the bottom open and remove everything else.
