popping/light banging from rack(?) when turning either way ?

basically like title says. when i turn regardless of speed or direction. kinda annoying. every since i replaced my bad passenger tie rod inner and outer and had it aligned it been vibrating in the wheel back and forth too. checked ball joints and bearings and they feel tight. the axles both have movement in them when pushing shaft up and down though. i will upload a video shortly of the sound. and yes i ALWAYS search before i ask a question lol. been on forums since for years lol. so any ideas?
 


I've never heard of the u joint going bad on the intermediate shaft but it's possible. You change the inner tie rod yourself?
 
yessir. then took it to get aligned. its just wierd because everything feels tight in the front end except the play in the axles. but i dont feel it would make that noise sitting still and be the axles.
 
thats what ive always seen. but it is constant when im turning the wheel sitting still as well. i dont get it. i know my rotors are crap, and i have play in my axles, but that wouldnt cause the noise i dont think
 


ok well i think i figured it out. did some more research and found that strut brearings and mounts go bad and cause bad things. got a video.
 


im getting clicking from pass side and boing/banging from driver side in the video. pretty sure the spring isnt supposed to move like that. or the top mount.
 


might just do new struts too. pass side is stiff and driver side bounces a few times when pushing. also my pass side spring is one inch more compressed than driver side. lol.
 
those are your strut mounts all blown out. if the rest of the struts were good you can change them mounts and be on your way.


but after what you said its time for a new pair of struts.
 


now just gotta figure out what im gonna get lol. might get monroe to get me by for my long work commute. kinda sounds like my coupler is bad in that video too. dont really sound as lous as it did in the video tho.....
