Pontiac Parts

I'm looking at a 99 GTP and was wondering about parts availability for Pontiac since they are not made anymore. I know brakes, exhaust. etc is not an issue but what about more model specific parts like HUD components, body panels, super charger parts, etc. Has anyone run into problems getting parts for these cars?

Thanks

The cars were so damn popular that you can find 4-5 in any given junkyard.

Multiple vendors/ebay sell rebuild kits for the superchargers.

Hud parts would probably have to be found in a junkyard or by someone on the forums.

Hey broskee what's up. Pontiacs are out of production but still relatively easy to find parts for. And the gtp's are decently easy to mod

parts besides body and interior are all going to be interchangeable with various other gm cars and mini vans. there are millions of these cars. parts wont be issue for a long time. cl for body and int and junk yards or aftermarket.

Thanks. I'm thinking I'm going to buy this car. It's a 99 gtp with 110000 highway miles on it. One owner, red on black leather. Always garaged. This is a cream puff car owned by a old retired couple. I think I can get it for 3500. Only problem is rocker panel rust. Only visible under the car and not rusted through yet. Anyone out there with any experience dealing with rocker panel rust in these cars? Not sure how much I'm looking at to repair??

Rocker panel rust is very common. Also check the strut tower braces their known to rust threw as well. 3500 seems quite a bit steep of a price for 99 with 11xxxx miles

The blue book on it is 4100 in very good condition private party value. After seeing/driving he car I feel it's worth that. I won't pay more than $3500 with he rust issue. The strut towers in the trunk look good. Thanks for the info.

I bought the car for $3500. I have a few things to do to it. Repair a little rocker panel rust, small paint chips, replace cloudy headlights, tint windows. I just bought a Kenwood Excelon HU to pair with the Bose system. I'll try to post pics when I figure out how to get them on here. So far, it seems like a good car!
