Just curious how many owners of factory '97-'98 medium Purple metallic GPs are registered here. Any way to find out, or do I just have to hope they reply to this thread? There seem to be a lot of the other colors, but almost no purple ones get mentioned.
 


Geez, so what's next, gay or "Barney" the dinosaur jokes? Don't hate it cause it's rare! I should post some pix of my all custom Honda sport bike, purple metallic and certainly not a "chick bike" or gay by any sretch of the imagination.:th_tongue2:

I'll do my best. Gotta fix all the damn rust problems first. I ordered a complete rug and floor mat set which is still in the box, the stock radio has been completely reconditioned, got some nice, tasteful 17 inch "American Racing" wheels to put on it ( still in the boxes), gonna do a full exterior body and base coat/clear coat paint job with some silver "Rally" style stripes on the hood and deck lid,and that's just for starters. With only 79K miles on it, which isn't to bad for a '98, I'll do the normal bolt on performance stuff when $ allows. Still gotta sell my LT1 Buick when the GP is on the road. I'd like to have a high 13 second daily driver, but it's gotta be reliable and not blow the trans , engine or anything else. If that goal can't be achieved with this car, I'll sell it and look for a nice '05-'06 GTO.

dont hate on the purple color :-p! guess having a turbo on a purple car is chick/girlie car then? i call it a sleeper ;-) or my friends call it, "the purple people eater"

Yo Chucky, where did you come up with the name KAWAFORD? I guess you used to own a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Ford something, correct? How 'bout some pix of your Kawasakis and maybe some time slips?

Considering how many years silver, white, red and black GPs have been produced for instance, the amount of factory purple ones is considerably less. A color alone may not make a car "rare" but one equipped like mine makes it even more so. I doubt there are to many that view Cudas and Challengers from the 70s in the color "Plum Crazy" as sissy, gay or "chick cars".
Even Pontiac came out with a different, even nicer ( i.m.o.) purple metallic color for the 1998 Trans Am ( and possibly all Firebirds). I wanted to order a Formula in that color but I was told that due to little interest , that color option was cancelled early on in that year. Finding one now, would indeed be a "rare" find. The latest generation of GTOs from '04-'06 had a purple metallic '04 available. Only one year offered. First year for the Chrysler Prowler was available in dark purple metallic.

im running a catless straight pipe then the catback goes and exits near the passenger side wheel. no mufflers. 2.5" piping. right now i disconnected the catback and currently driving it like this til jan 2k10 for inspection:p:th_jester::

Yes, I still own 1 mustang, just sold my other.

I Currently OWN a Z1000.

Don't have any time-slips because I haven't taken it to the track, but then again.. I don't need to prove anything, it's more then fast enough.
 
Ive owned mostly Kawasakis starting with the original Z1000 back in 1977. I really like the newest Z1000 for 2010. Whole lotta $ though. I currently own a 2003 Honda CBR1100XX ( all custom), and a mostly stock 2008 Suzuki Bandit 1250. I have a rare factory Kaw poster of your bike that was given to me by a friend who lives in England. I'll see if I can find it and send you a pic of it ( to wet your appetite). My last Kaw was an '03 ZRX1200.
