Polished aluminum torque stars

are they chrome looking or hazy? do they look like this:

???? are you sure they arent the painted ones?

Ya I'm positive they aren't painted. I doubt they are chrome though. They have shine but are pretty hazy, not mirror shiny like yours. Mine have a slight shine. I'll try to post a pic if you want

yeah it they're polished then they should shine pretty nicely, even if they're in ok shape. Cleaned up and waxed they look real sharp. After a wash, claybar, and polish/wax mine look like this..

i hate the nasty look of the inside of my factory torque stars ive seriously been thinking of stripping all the clear coat off them inside and out one by one driving on the donut until im happy with the results. ive tried about every thing you can think of except clay bar, rubbing compount and mothers wax, Ive tried almost every kind of wheel specific cleaner and nothing is any good. the ls1tech.com guys got a product called blingmaster in the wheel forums thinkin of trying that. any one got anyother ideas

i bought some busch's aluminum polish for my bikes and cars. it works great without alot of rubbing. of course the more you do it, the better it looks, but the inital difference was awesome. i did it by hand and will do it with a polishing wheel soon, to finish it off. try it, google busch aluminum polish. i bought mine at the syracuse nationals but the guy assured me shipping wasn't alot.

Oh thanks^ today I did two wheels with mcguires and they look good. No mirror finish but only spend 15min per wheel

sounds like you got it. i find that if you polish them, wait another day or 2 and try polishing them again. i have polished wheels on my Buell and that produces the best shine.

my old gtp had polished torqstars on it. they shined up really nice with a good washing and waxing. on this one i have bullitts though. and i love them
