• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! LOL didnt even think about that.... im use to it... the only cosmetic problem with the car are those.... the lady that owned her before me im guess drove into a curb that was too tall because the scratches are on both sides and the side reinforcements for the bumper are cracked all the way thru so the sides flap a little if you push in on it.... gonna pull the bumper this spring and replace them when income tax $$$ comes in, along with a few mods :D

btw i was just joking on the PS... but it would be interesting to see how it comes out if he does do it
 
Why don't you give GIMP a try? How many licenses do you have for it? I have it on my laptop and it runs fine. Takes a while to load though because there are a lot of things for it to start and I only have 2gb of RAM. :P I used to use it when I had 64 bit ubuntu on laptop and it ran great.
 
Well I wont be getting around to using PS anytime soon, since I just crashed my laptop's HDD, and I am extremely pissed the F off.

Completely lost all my **** I had on it, over 20 games installed, I'm pissed.
 


OMG IM SORRY!!! it must have happened while trying to photoshop the girl on the car... so much detail the computers couldnt handle the awesomeness.... my bad hehehe

seriously tho that sux... if you have a good(working) computer you can usually put the drive in it as a slave and if the drive isnt totally shot you can pull off the important data, and sometime format it a couple times and run a disk check and get it back working with a clean reinstall

It's a laptop, so can't put the drive into a desktop.. and my desktop power supply decided to stop working, so I can't use that either.

I'm back on my laptop now, after putting crap vista back on, because I lost my slipstream XP disk, and don't feel like making another.

Anyway, I have all my games back up, but they are a pain to install, and I didn't get a chance to back up my save files...:th_shakinghead2:
 
actually even being a laptop drive... if you have a friend with a computer... the sata ports between regular drives and laptops are the same and the ata133/100 ports are the same as well... so it wont bolt into the spot but you can plug it into a tower and set it gently on the tray for the hard drives and it will run like another drive... ive done it to speed backup onto my gaming tower for a format on my gfs laptop...

just a thought if the drive isnt totallly shot, itll get your files

the drive has to match the plug tho... an older tower with old ata drives wont work a sata drive for a new laptop... without a converter

My SATA PC is also down, and no friends have a newer computer.

It's already done, the laptop is re-formatted.

I can sympatihize with you Kawa. I'm using Vista as well (business tho). A few hours after I posted that backup was a good idea I went to install some new drivers to get my ps3 controller to work on my laptop and I got a virus and it wouldn't let me load my network or sound drivers. I restarted it and searched google on another computer for related fixes and found out that there was an added value for both my network and sound drivers that shouldn't have been there. I deleted them and they both work now and running a scan to try to get rid of the virus.
