Performance Upgrades

Hey, I have an '02 GTP and have been slowly doin upgrades.
So far I've got a 3.5" supercharger pulley (estimated extra 24HP) and also a K&N cai thats on its way in the mail.

I'm looking to make this car track worthy and plan on competing with some friends at the track in Toronto starting this spring.
Wondering if anyone could suggest ways that i can keep improving my GTP!

Thanks

Get a way to scan it.

Read that thread.

Get some exhaust mods, that's the restriction.

Pulley drop should always be the last thing on the list of "mods".

just reading through that first post. Whats the yellow/green coolant actually called?
Also scanning, not very familiar with that. Can i just get my mechanic buddy to scan it? lol

get a aeroforce scan guage a little pricey but can save your ass 99pgpgt has one for sale acutally message him. also get a aem wideband for the air fuel ratio

No; you want live feed scanner, like an Aeroforce gauge.

3.5 still sitting in the box, was planning on doin it next week with my buddy but not now after reading these forums :/

Guess I'll start with spark plugs lol

good move read read read that how you keep your car from breaking if you wanna mod it, i am just super curious though how did you come to the conclusion that a 3.5" pulley with give you 24hp?

Stage kits: Junk.
What vendor sites tell you: Mostly lies about what needs to be ran for "X" pulley.

What every site SHOULD say is: Fix the crappy 3800 exhaust, make sure everything else is in good shape to mod, get a way to scan the car or a tuner, then start diving into crap.

Also note: You will break things, especially now that these cars are getting older.

Also also note: Stock GTP's will make about 195-205 WHP stock. Proper 3.4" setup cars will make about 230-240 WHP. Typical drivetrain loss is about 18-20% IIRC, so about 275-290 CHP.

But measuring to the crank is lame. Wheels is the only measurement that should matter.

i feel we just shat on this guys day. but its for the better and it will save him money in the long run
