Passenger Window slow

Hi,
My passenger side window is slow ... I'm figuring it's the window's motor going bad. Is that called a REGULATOR ASSEMBLY in GM terms?

And would this be correct? (It's the right model vehicle, I just want to make sure it's PASSENGER SIDE (RH?) and the part that will do the fix.

Thanks,
Tom

but to answer your questions - yes passenger side is RH and driver is LH.
The part comes as an assembly with the motor and regulator.

I'd bet if you cleaned up the felt guides in the door frame and lubed them up that window would speed back up. Common issue on these cars. The guides start to drag on the glass and then you start eating window regulators like candy. Could be worth a try before having to tear the door panel off.

FWIW, I still have all of my factory window motors on my '00 GT. I just order the regulator by itself when one breaks and swap my motor onto it.

And this wouldn't result on lube smeared all over the glass because?

Because you would use a "dry film" silicone lube that won't migrate much out of the guides and onto the glass. Do not use white lithium grease, WD-40, regular silicone, bearing grease, etc. as they can harden up when dried/cold or attract more dirt to the guides and cause further issues.

Also, if you have to pull the door panel I would check the guides top to bottom to make sure they aren't pinched somewhere. If a door mirror gets damaged it can pinch the guide just enough to make it drag more than it should. Had that issue on an '01 recently.
