Part time headlights, all the time

I just have a question about my headlights. Why are they on all the time? I checked to see if anything was maybe blocking the light from the sensor but it looks ok. Would a bad sensor cause that? in all three switch positions the headlights and taillights stay on even in full daylight. My lights flicker when i turn the switch but that's it. My dash lights also. I haven't started troubleshooting yet because truthfully i have no idea where to start. Anyone have any idea?

They are called Daytime Running Lights, and unless youre in Canada, you don't need them. Pop off the little door on the drivers side dash when the drivers door is open, and you will see a heatsink in there with a blue plug. Unplug that and your daytime running lights will go out. All the automatic lights and your headlight switch will work as normal.

if its the headlights that are on and not the DRLs (taillights and dash lights on with headlights when switch is on OFF position) then it could be the sensor. i would get more opinions though...
